Hilma Shahinian is a freelance photographer based in Glendale, California. She received her Bachelors Degree in Film Production with emphasis in Cinematography and Editing at California State University, Northridge. Growing up, photography was always Hilma's favorite pastime and hobby, she found beauty and hidden stories in everyday images. Hilma chose to pursue her passion in photography as a career once she realized she excelled in capturing the magic of the moment in her shots, and that she was happiest when she was watching the world unfold from behind the lens of her camera.
Experienced in photojournalism, photojournalistic wedding photography, special occasion photography as well as family portrait and corporate photography, Hilma works locally in the Los Angeles area, and she travels for destination weddings, events and news coverage. Hilma is also a freelance photographer with The Armenian Reporter weekly newspaper, covering local stories and events.
Hilma believes in customer satisfaction, she often goes the extra mile to make sure everyone's special day is captured forever, as beautifully as they remember it. She works closely with her clients to get to know them and to create a comfortable environment where she can immortalize their special moments and capture their true emotions without being noticed.
